The reality you currently live once existed in your subconscious mind, it was once a figment of your imagination, and it was once a dream. Your reality is made up of two distinct levels: the tangibles and the intangibles, things that we see and the things that do not yet appear. To alter your current reality you must stay fixated on your preferred reality.
The question is what is more real to you, your current state or your preferred state? At what point do men become wealthy? At what point do people become successful? Is it at the point where we can all now see the tangible results of wealth and affluence or the physical proceeds of success or is at the point where we have imbibed the intangibles of wealth and success, where we have internalized the precepts, principles and habits for successful living?
I believe we are successful when we have the latter, where we have internalized the precepts, principles and habits of successful living.
So, I ask if internalizing the precepts, principles and habits of successful living makes you successful why do we have so many running around with ideas of success yet living in penury and a deprived state with nothing to show for the ideas they speak of.
One – internalizing the principles of success is level one, practicing the principles is the next level. Every principle not practiced will yield the same result as one never known. If we do not know how to apply the principles we have learnt then our knowledge of these principles is not yet completed, for we must take knowledge into the realm of wisdom which is the ability to apply knowledge, experience, understanding or common sense and insight.
Two – we would not experience success if we have not been consistent in practicing these new principles long enough for it to alter our current state. Our preferred reality is in the realm of the invisible, you might be a far cry from the man or woman God has designed you to be. What you want to do is to begin to live out the precepts, principles and habits of your new or preferred reality so often that your mind forgets what it is like to act in your current reality.
Three – You must make the change. In altering your current reality, as you stay fixated on successful precepts, principles and habits, as you practice these principles and habits, there comes a time when you must take a leap of faith to act in a way consistent with what you thinking.
Your preferred reality is your preferred image of yourself, this image is both mental and physical, if you were given a pencil you must probably could draw this reality but how do give life to this reality, how do you stop thinking about it and start living it.
You must create an alternate mental state of your preferred reality, you must find the principles, precepts and habits that support this reality and you must consistently practice these principles, precepts and habits until your subconscious response is consistent with this new reality. You must begin to do everything not according to the size of your current state but according to your preferred reality. You must take a leap of faith.
It’s one thing to think rich thoughts but another to do rich things. You will know when it’s time to cross from the intangible to the tangible in response to your dream because it will seem like you have already done it before.
Be possessed with the dream, let your fixation on your preferred reality be an obsession, make every effort to act consistently with the mental picture of your preferred future, take little steps and progress to giant leaps of faith as you embody your preferred reality. You cannot act in ways inconsistent with your current state and not alter it.
Commit to a daily routine to grow your mind.
That’s G.Y.M for today and I trust that you are charged up and obsessed with a burning desire to succeed. Ordinary is a misnomer for you.
Plan, Act and Pursue your dream.
