Every result is a product of a sequence of processes, if you identify the activity build up sequence you can recreate the product. People are usually fascinated by the product but a few want to know what went into the process. The things you want out of life will constantly elude you if all you are fixated on is the product. If you follow the process the product is a natural consequence.
The Process of Analyzing
China has taken its seat among the leading nations of the world belonging to the G20 which is 19 of the largest economies in the world including the EU. The question is how did they get there? I remember in the 1980’s made in china products were not exactly synonymous with quality as compared to products made in some other parts of the world but that has all changed. We began hearing the concept of reverse engineering – The process of analyzing the construction and operation of a product in order to manufacture a similar one. This they did and they have gotten better doing it.
On the 5th of May 2017, China’s Comac C919 aircraft completed its maiden flight. The aircraft is the first ever large made-in-china passenger plane, it took a decade and $6.5 billion in research to build. Comac will be competing for the market with established giants Boeing and Airbus. It will be quite some time before they obtain the European and US aviation certification to fly in international markets but China has joined an exclusive group of nations.
It’s always easier to just buy the product rather than try to understand and recreate the process. Africa is well known for buying, the continent isn’t about the process. Most Africans are constantly looking to buy the next big thing while in contrast our American, European and Asian counterparts are looking to make the next big thing.
I am always fascinated when I do a search on the internet, beyond the content of the search I look at the author of the content. It’s sad to say the same people who gave Africa the internet are still the ones who largely have uploaded all the freebies we now enjoy. Most shocking might be to realize that there is more on the internet of Africa by non-Africans.
The process of analyzing is the process of asking questions and finding answers. Questions that inform and inspire action. Questions that reveal the process of creation. Any really good cook will tell you the process is what differentiates the best of chefs. Two people walk into a kitchen filled with the same ingredients and come out with two completely different meals tasting differently. The difference is the result of opposing processes, the difference didn’t come about because of different ingredients, the difference came about because both chefs subjected the ingredients to different processes.
The process of Success
My intent today is not to focus on the inequality that stems from our different locations, because then one might argue on the impact of environment in success. The focus is on the process of success. There is no continent on earth where a day is more than 24 hours, time is an equalizer. So the successful fellow has learnt over time how to process his 24 hours to achieve optimum results. Remember we talked about the sequence of the processes.
The right processes in the wrong sequence will give you a different result. In creating the life and business you want, find a person or business that has been or is where you want to be and reverse engineer the process of their achievement, deduce the sequence of these processes and their results will be your natural consequence.
Ask how? Ask why? Be patient and engage in consistent action until you get the results you want. Whenever you start make sure you finish and always demand a personal level of excellence from your life. Pay the price to find the steps and work the steps.
Commit to a daily routine to grow your mind.
That’s G.Y.M for today and I trust that you are charged up and obsessed with a burning desire to succeed. Ordinary is a misnomer for you.
Plan, Act and Pursue your dream.
