Six and Half a Dozen – The theory of Relativism and Perspective

Does all action stem from enshrined perspectives and firm belief? Can we dissociate reactions to situations from the individuals involved and their established criteria for judgement? If the individual determines the actions taken, to change the outcome we must change the individual. To change your outcomes you must change yourself. In changing the results you are getting in life you must change what you are doing, to change what you are doing you must change what you believe and to change what you believe you must alter your perspective.

Six and half a dozen one might argue they are the same but for all intents and purposes representation is a choice made by the individual concerned. Like choosing to say a decade rather than 10 years or a century rather than 100 years or a millennium rather than a 1000 years. So it is a choice between options.

Two representations, one option, you are constantly making a choice in life. Are you making poor choices because you lack options? Or are you making poor choices because you are not aware options even exist? Or are making poor choices because you lack the ability to evaluate options or create them?

Let’s talk about your evaluation of your situation or your evaluation of a difficult situation. Your evaluation of the situation determines your chosen responses. If your conclusion based on your evaluation is that you do not have options you make poor choices. So working backwards, you make poor choices based on poor options which you arrived at because of a poor evaluation based on your knowledge at the time, your interpretation and judgement which is a reflection of yourself, which is relativism the philosophical doctrine that all criteria of judgment are relative to the individuals and situations involved.

In reversing the sequence you can deduce the elements responsible for creating the life you desire. The process begins with you. Since you influence your judgement, if your judgement of situations and outcomes is poor which means you are poor. To improve your judgment you must change yourself by enriching your mind. Read, go for knowledge, no man leads who does not read. Further to that apply the knowledge you have to the situations confronting you.

Next level – Increased knowledge rightly applied improves your evaluation and proper evaluation shapes perspective which uncovers multiple options but not just multiple options, you are able to distinguish great options from good options. Your life is a product of your choices, great options lead to great choices.

To better your life you must better yourself, to better yourself you must better your choices which is what you do from day to day. It does not matter what desires or wishes you have, if your day to day activities which are a product of choice do not align with these desires and wishes you will never experience them.

To better your choices you must better your options, the options you see are a function of your evaluation and judgement of the situation, great evaluation and judgement stems from great knowledge and the right application of these knowledge.
