Give Up or Go On

Make up your mind to finish what you start. Do not make a habit of quitting even if you think you have all the right reason in the world to. As you wrestle for accomplishment and purpose in life never tap out. There are always reasons, good reasons actually why you can’t continue, why you shouldn’t continue but have a fiery force within you to always see your dreams through

Hannibal said “we will either find a way or make one”

Coach of Green Bay Packers Vince Lombardi said “the difference between a successful person and others is not lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of determination”.

John Maxwell said perseverance means succeeding because you are determined to, not destined to.

There are so many talented people who feel entitled to success because they think all has been laid out for them but they soon realize that life answers not to the talented but to those who persevere. Work on days when you feel like it, work on days when you do not feel like it, and work on all days whether you feel like it or not. Make a habit of always showing up, simply tell yourself every day is the day.

Every day is the day for your big break, every day is the day when opportunity meets time and you encounter destiny, every day is the day when all things, bright and lovely come together for you. You know how you wish you knew the day when you’re needed to be on your best behavior, when you needed to be most motivated, when you needed to be happy knowing it was your moment and your season, guess what? That day is every day.

What do you need to do?

Reaffirm your purpose in life or any given adventure every day.

Constantly seek to eliminate excuses for underperformance every day. Let you default response to any challenge always be how can it be done. Always keep the window of possibility and discovery open.

Commit to making progress every day. It’s not the big things but the series of little things we do successfully that makes us successful.

Les Brown likes to say “it’s not over until you win”. Make winning your desired outcome, make winning your only outcome, decide to go on, decide never to quit, make up your mind to always find a way.

Those who say it cannot be done are frequently interrupted by someone doing it – James Baldwin. When you look at your life what do you see? Do you see yourself winning or do you see yourself trying? There is difference – the man who sees himself trying will throw a party for trying saying at least I tried, how many people have attempted this, but the man who see himself winning will not stop until he wins. Be adamant about winning.

Listen up winners win and losers lose, stop explaining your failures, step up, take responsibility. Never give up.

I am a huge fan of the Sit and kick strategy in athletics, what fascinates me the most is I wonder where that new bust of energy comes from that causes the athlete to sprint past his or her opponents in the very last lap. This tells me that we always have something in tank.

When you are being chase by a lion you do not stop when you are tired you stop when the lion stops or gets tired and the lion never stops or never get tired neither should you. You know they say every day in the jungle to eat the lion must outrun the slowest gazelle and to survive the gazelle must outrun the fastest lion so whether you are a lion or a gazelle at the crack of dawn you better be running.

So I ask, are you running towards that dream?

Commit to a daily routine to grow your mind.

That’s G.Y.M for today and I trust that you are charged up and obsessed with a burning desire to succeed. Ordinary is a misnomer for you.

Plan, Act and Pursue your dream.
